New Rescues

This has been a busy week. A solid black feral cat gave birth to 1 calico kitten in a person's garage. The people managed to keep lock up the garage to keep the mom and baby in place. Upon receiving the call, we went with carrier, gloves and food in hand. With patience and by placing the newborn kitten in the crate, we managed to catch the mom. They are both doing well. Mom slowly calming down. She is being a good mother so hand feeding the baby is so far not necessary. The baby is fat and happy.

A few days later we received a call from a person who had two 6 week old kittens and could no longer take care of them. We took them in. They are brother and sister. Both are long haired. The girl is jet black and the boy is black with white toes. They are happy, healthy and full of energy. They should easily find a loving permanent home.
