April Pepsi Grant Contest - Katz Krusade

We did well in March gaining over 60 spots in the rankings over the last 2 weeks, finishing at 34. While not in the top 2 winning grant spots, we did qualify to be automatically included in the April contest.

So the process starts all over again beginning April 1st.

Based on what I observed in both the February and March contests, I have a strategy that should put us in the top contenders from the beginning giving us the best opportunity to qualify for the grant.

Pepsi arbitrarily ranks the ideas from 1 to whatever on day 1. Those fortunate enough to be put into the top spots appear to remain at the top the whole month with few exceptions. So the key is to either be lucky and be placed at the top or to gain enough quick early votes to jump near the top during the first two days of voting. It appears easier to maintain a top position than to gain ground from the rank and file. Let's not rely on luck.

So once again I ask you for your votes. Here is a step by step plan for Victory!

1) Voting begins at 6am EST (3am PST) April 1st. Please vote as early as conveniently possible on both April 1st and 2nd. Our early placement is key and because of the time difference East Coast ideas and voters have an early advantage.

2) Please set a reminder to vote daily. Every vote is extremely important.

3) If you have a VALID second or third email account (under a different name and/or different email address) please register and vote using these accounts also. Over the course of the month, this would double/triple the vote count.

4) Get 2 or more new friends, family or co-workers to get on board. If you use Twitter and Facebook or other social networking media, please tweet, post and blog as often as you're willing and able.

5) The last week momentum surge. Every idea is powering votes at the end to gain ground. An extra push at the end will be necessary to either hold on to our position or gain the few spots needed to win. Finding that extra person or people to cast votes who have not yet participated.
